Every picture within this site is available to purchase as a spectacular canvas wrap. Canvases are a great way to display our local views, they create a very modern and contemporary feel. Your art stands proud of the wall and your eyes are drawn directly to it without compromise.
All of the stretched canvas art we offer are completed on our premises using the latest technology and printing equipment. We use only the very best materials and inks to ensure that your canvases will last a lifetime. We only use 100% cotton canvas which is produced by Fuji, one of the world leaders in printing and film supplies. We use only genuine Epson K3 pigment inks which guarantee strong rich colours and light fastness for at least 75 years. The process we use is also known as Giclee printing.
Once printed the canvas is then coated with a UV protecting laminate by means of a vacuum press. This process protects your canvas from outside elements and enables it to be wiped clean with a damp cloth should it ever get soiled in any way. The coating also has a UV filter within it which further helps protect it from fading. Many canvases available in the market today are sold without any protection or coating, this means they cannot be safely cleaned without risk of damage.
For many people canvas prints are a fairly new way of displaying pictures. However, here at Hart Photography Ltd we have been putting photographs on to canvas since the 1970’s. In fact we were one of the very first studios in the country to ever do this. At the time we worked closely with a company called Ademco who pioneered the process in this country. The method we use today is quite different but there are certain similarities. Some of the skills we learnt back then still have their place today and give us an extra incite into the process that many companies do not have.
Once printed and laminated, the canvas is then stretched over a high quality wooden stretcher frame.
All of our canvas wall art prints are gallery wrapped, this means that the image continues around the edges of the stretcher bars. This always gives a far more pleasing and aesthetic result, rather than leaving a white edge.
Finally the canvas is fitted with fixings and wire to the rear. The canvas is now ready to hang on your wall.
Our monitors and printers are regularly calibrated to ensure colour accuracy and to give the best results possible. However, please be aware that if your monitor is not calibrated (most aren’t), you may see a colour variation in the finished print to what you see on your screen.
